Scott A Bergeron, Owner of Bergeron Electrical Services, inc.
I have been in the trade for over 35 years, started under the tutelage of Mr. Paul J. Bergeron as an apprentice. I first was in the registered apprentice program, which included installations in residential, commercial, industrial, airport and municipal waste water.
I took my courses at Putnam Vocational under Mr. Gerry Towne, over 5 years while working days. After successfully passing both my Journeymen and Masters Exams, I went back and taught the Massachusetts Master Electrician night class at Putnam for 5 years, while working with Mr. Paul J. Bergeron in the day.
An opportunity to move full time into Industrial instrumentation and controls with International Papers Non-Woven division, added to my experience. For nearly 10 years through progressive training and promotion, I was managing a staff of 21, in multiple disciplines, Waste Water, Steam Plant, Facilities support in a 24/7 industrial setting. Other experience in that time included Facility review and Interactive Management training in other facilities. Certification included Osha 501 Trainer, Confined space, High Angle rescue, Instrument, control loop Calibration, DDI interactive Management Trainer, First Responder, Industrial Fireman, and PLC programming, Fiber Optic termination and Testing.
Another opportunity came in late 2001, to purchase the assets and continue the operation of Paul J. Bergeron’s successful business, and so I did. Started in 1972 by Paul Bergeron, the business reputation was for efficient installations of the highest quality.
Today that philosophy is the cornerstone to our longevity. We work diligently, creatively and professionally for our community and customers.
Our community support includes annual contributions of labor, materials and revenues to Smith Vocational School, Emily Dickinson Library, Sunderland Public Library, American Legion Youth Baseball. Franklin Land Trust, and The Foodbank of Western Mass.
